Final results from STRATEGY CCUS
The STRATEGY CCUS project's final event was hosted at Scotland House in Brussels and on-line.
Our ambitious three-year project, STRATEGY CCUS funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 programme, concluded and our international research teams delivered their results and recommendations.
Our primary objective has been to accelerate the development of carbon capture, usage and storage (CCUS) technology and significantly reduce emissions from southern and eastern Europe’s industrial and energy sectors.
Perspectives for CCUS in Portugal
The H2020 funded project STRATEGY CCUS, has been investigating the interest and potential of CCUS technologies – CO2 Capture, Utilization and Storage – in eight regions of particular interest in Spain, Portugal, Greece, France, Croatia, Romania and Poland. This regional event aims to presents the outcomes of the analysis conducted for the Portuguese target region, the Lusitanian basin, including CCUS deployment scenarios, techno-economic assessment and life cycle analysis.
